Episode 3: My 10,000 Hours

A number of writers – from Anders Ericsson in Peak, Malcolm Gladwell in Outliers, and Martha Beck in Finding Your Way in a Wild New World – discuss the value of investing ten thousand hours of deep or deliberate practice in order to achieve mastery in a field. I have been fascinated by the idea of looking at what interests me so much that I’d spent ten thousand hours deep-practicing it. My list is short and sweet:

  • reading books about personal growth, spirituality, and living an intentional life
